| INTRODUCTION VIETNAM ASSOCIATION OF RURAL INDUSTRIAL SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (VARISME) is found under the decision No 28/QD-BTCCBCP dated May 28th, 2002 of the Chairman of Governmental Personnel Committee (the Ministry of Interior). Former Deputy Premier Nguyen Cong Tan , who has worked in the rural field in many years, was voted the President by the Congress. VARISME stands for Vietnamese rural industrial SMEs also as entrepreneurs, workers in the field of art and thousands of workers in 2197 villages. VARISME gathers rural industrial manufacture, business and service SMEs nation-wide, connects the activities of the members, exchanges, gives information, consults science and technology, consults finance, supports trade and investment promotion. VN's agricultural sector to go hi-tech
(Update: 16:03:18)Viet Nam is set to phase out small-scale agriculture through the introduction of new technologies to agriculture that are expected to result in higher yields and more competitive farm produce. The plan, part of a newly approved Government scheme to industrialise the agriculture sector, has targeted an annual growth rate for the sector of more than 3.5 per cent up until 2020 - it currently stands at 3.2. |
